Latex Supplies –

Our latex mould making supplies include Liquid Latex, Brush Latex, Mask Making Latex, and Geltex Latex Thickener. In fact, Latex is a moulding compound based on pre-vulcanized natural rubber latex. Our Liquid Latex is perfect for flexible mould making. It’s been pre-vulcanized to give it excellent return memory and maximum elongation, without permanent distortion. It can be painted easily, using most adhesive-based paints. Cosplayers can also use it for wounds, scars, and other details. Another common application is to use it in porous moulds by slush casting or absorption skinning. The Brush Latex is thicker than the liquid latex. As a result, brush latex characteristically exhibits low shrinkage rates and fast drying times. This makes it great for mould production. Intricate models can be reproduced in exact detail and the moulding latex won’t separate on standing.

Another option is our Mask Making Latex, which is made specifically for casting into gypsum moulds. Popular among many special effects artists, RD-407 can be brushed or poured into gypsum moulds. It has a quick skin build-up, fast de-mould, and superb detail reproduction. Another feature is it comes as a naturally viscous material that yields a stretchy but durable rubber upon curing. If you need to thicken the latex products, then you can use our Geltex Latex Thickener. The thickener is added by at least 2% to thicken latex systems.
