Pigment Powders –
At Barnes we offer an extensive range of resin powder pigments. You can add as little or as much of the powder pigments to resin, unlike resin dyes or inks. Powdered pigments also have a longer shelf life than liquid pigments. They’re not just for adding colour either, you can also use them to add shine, sparkle, and dimension. Our range includes Dayglo powders, glitter pigments, metallic pigments, intense opaques, and more. With lots of colours to choose from, you’re sure to find what you need. If you’re looking for a variety of colours, we have several multi-packs available.
Our pigments are suitable for use with epoxy resin, polyurethane resin, polyester resin, wax, clay and more. Some are even great for brushing into silicone moulds. Top brands to choose from include Jacquard, Langridge and PolyColor. If using pigments with resin, we strongly recommend using a water clear resin. This way you can achieve the true, vibrant colour of the pigment. Be sure to sift the pigment into the resin to avoid clumps. Heavier pigments such as glitters, may sink to the lowest part of your pour if you’re using resins that have longer work times.
Resin powder pigments exhibit remarkable versatility when blended with resin, yielding diverse finishes in art pieces. Their excellence lies in their ability to produce a wide array of hues and effects. When combined, resin and these pigments result in art that is enriched with depth and vibrancy. Various finishes can be effortlessly achieved, showcasing the skill of the artist and the transformative power of these pigments when employed in the creative process.
