Rigid Polyurethane Resin –
Check out our range of rigid polyurethane resin systems. Polyurethane resin may be used in a variety of applications. These include prototypes, props, model making, patternmaking, roto-casting, climbing holds, collectibles, ornaments, master moulds, and more. We have a variety of different types including fast set, medium set, slow set, and high impact resistant. The majority of these resins are opaque such as white, off-white, tan, beige, and jet-black. And our BQUEEN offers a translucent/pale amber for an easier colour match using pigments.
Rigid polyurethane resins are extensively utilized in various applications. Additionally, they are renowned for their high strength-to-weight ratio, making them ideal for lightweight structural components. These resins offer excellent dimensional stability, ensuring precise and long-lasting parts in demanding environments. Furthermore, they exhibit remarkable resistance to moisture, chemicals, and environmental conditions, enhancing their durability and suitability for a variety of applications. However, you may need to use the UV additive in conjunction with your resin for increased UV protection and longevity.
Although we offer a wide range of polyurethane rigid resins, each system offers a unique set of characteristics. Our Supercast resin can be used alone or mixed with a wide variety of fillers, and it’s great for reproducing intricate details. Easycast cures white in colour and can be drilled, sanded, ground, and turned. It’s also easy to pigment it to achieve great colours. Procast cures at room temperature, has superb flow and has more flexibility than similar resins. Ultracast TC1630 is a standard resin for foundry use and pattern making. It’s easy to mix and has low shrinkage. In summary, rigid polyurethane resins are favored for their versatility and numerous advantages across a wide range of sectors.
